Where do these figures come from?

Rent is what 13 Erasmus students report in the European Commission survey (2026-08). Food, transport and leisure are an estimate from Eurostat price indices (2024), checked against Numbeo (2026-09). Think of a shared flat and cooking at home. It is not a market price and does not include flights or your home university fees.

    Experiencias Erasmus París

Archive of stories in Spanish from students who have already been to Paris: twenty per page, each with its rating out of 10 and always answering the same questions — how much it costs to live there, if it is difficult to find a flat, what the city and the food are like. The value lies in the contrast: in the same list, entries of 9/10 coexist with one titled 'Paris, the city of lights (overrated)'. The page itself links to versions in other languages, with 401 experiences in English, 159 in French, 92 in Italian, and 19 in Portuguese. A warning: the visible entries are from five or six years ago, so the prices they quote will be outdated.

    Accueil Anglais - ESN Paris

The English homepage of the student association that welcomes international students in Paris. What is useful: the virtual ESNcard, which gives discounts on their events and with their partners and is processed online although it must be picked up at the café des langues; the Welcome Desk; a help and advice section; a page on how to pay for accommodation that explains the APL aid and warns that the process is usually very long; and an 'SOS Canapé' for those who arrive without a place to sleep. An honest warning: the website is half-dormant — the last article published is from May 2022 and the homepage counters show zero — so the real pulse is in the channels it links to: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, and TikTok. You visit to sign up for those channels, not to read the website.
