Buddy Programme: Get your buddy now!

ESN Lisboa pairs newcomers with a student who has already been in the city for a while, and registration is done from this very page. The process is short: log in with a Google account on the Papaya (ESN) platform, or install its app from Google Play or the App Store, fill out the profile, choose 'I need help' if you are arriving from abroad or 'I want to offer my help' if you are a local, and save the subscription. When there is a match, they notify you and send you their contact details so you can write to them. The menu on the website itself also leads to housing and transport guides, the Survival Guide, the ESNcard, and the events section. It is in English.

Una ciudad sobrevalorada por los Erasmus?

An against-the-grain review that scores Lisbon by category: 10 in architecture and landscapes and in transport, 8 in gastronomy and in climate, but 2 in prices and 4 in partying and in culture. The core consists of two warnings. One, that there are so many exchange students that friendships do not solidify: the author says that almost everyone was a one-night friend and that they met other Erasmus students who felt lonely. Two, that room prices have skyrocketed and take up most of the budget. It is important to look at the date: it is the translation of a text published about seven years ago, so the €400 per room mentioned marks the floor back then, not today's price.
