When should I apply for Erasmus?
It depends on your destination university, but the catalogue calendar shows a clear pattern: of the 7,015 procedures with published dates, the peak month is November (1,462) and the quietest is February (89). Before any of that comes your home university's internal call, which is what awards you the place and usually opens between October and February of the academic year before your exchange.
What happens if I miss the nomination deadline?
Your chances for that destination in that round are over: host universities only accept applications from students officially nominated beforehand by their home institution. An open application deadline won't help you if nominations have already closed. That's why the date to watch is the first of the two, not the last.
Are Erasmus deadlines the same every year?
Almost always, yes: universities report day and month, not year, because they follow the same schedule each academic year. This catalogue uses that to calculate the next upcoming date. Even so, it's wise to double-check with the host university's mobility office (email listed on each page): universities occasionally update their calendars and don't always sync them to the European database right away.
